Our Team
The Pine Forest Ladies Tennis Association is a committed group of women who love to play tennis and help others in need.
Formed in 2005, our main objectives were not only to organize fun events for our players, but to start a grassroots tournament to support local breast cancer patients.
In our small club, we have been touched by several friends who played tennis and were fighting breast cancer.
Our History
The Pine Forest Ladies Tennis Association is very excited about our 18-Year Celebration of our annual charity tennis tournament. We are passionate about this cause, inspired by all of our fellow players, friends and family - those who tackle this disease and win, those who continue with their fight, and those who have lost their lives. The lives that are impacted from this event are local and from all walks of life.
Our Mission
Our charity tennis tournament will once again benefit the MUSC Hollings Cancer Center’s Comprehensive Breast Care Program. Our Racquets for Recovery Fund at Hollings supports not only the Patient Support Services, which helps with their day-to-day lives, but also with items such as mastectomy bras and wigs. The Survivors’ Fit Club was also created with the help of our funding. The Fit Club is a program
of fitness, diet, and emotional support to help survivors get back to a new normal after treatment. solutions that make a long-lasting difference.
